"On Saturday evening we called your store because we needed a flower
arrangement for Sunday. We knew we could pick it up at the Yonkers office,
since the White Plains store is closed on Sunday.
I am so sorry I cannot remember who I spoke with, but I described what I
wanted and what I didn't want. The staff person was the model customer
service person. She walked me through several pieces online, and she
obviously took my request seriously. I wanted an altar piece, but not
something that looked like a funeral piece even though it was in memory of
someone very dear to us. We wanted something colorful, alive, vibrant and
that would make a statement when people saw it. Needless to say when my
husband picked up the piece it was 'outstanding - a work of art, a vibrant
colorful collection of beauty.

Blossom Flower Shops donates to Westchester Arts Council's 2008 Gala Silent Auction on November 22, 2008.
The council provides programs and services that enrich the lives of everyone in Westchester which makes Blossom Flowers Shops proud to be able to help.
Blossom Flower Shops donated $1500.00 of flowers to the Girls Scouts of Westchester County. This year Blossom Flower Shops made over 300 corsages and 300 boutonnieres for the Girl Scouts annual Father Daughter Dance. It was a successful event and they were extremely grateful for the flowers.
Owner, Kevin Kegan and manager, Kathie Murphy presented at Hofstra University on March 12, 2008. They spoke to a business class about their Family Business. The professor tries to make the classroom as close to the real world of business as possible, so he invited some real world business people to speak. The class is about critical issues involved in transition planning from one owner to another in family businesses. Kevin and Kathie found it extremely enlightening to meet and share some of Blossom Flower Shops experiences with such wonderful inquiring minds. The students wrote some responses that are posted below.

Nick Castellara wrote - "Thank you for spending time to visit us. It was great to actually hear first hand how our education relates closely to the full time working life. Even though we have great teachers, having a person with experience speak about management was very beneficial."
John wrote - "Firstly, I would like to thank you when you talked about your own experiences in your business it was very helpful and provided me with some different views. One day I will take over my fathers business and run my own family business and to hear the growing process from you was inspirational."
